International AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2012

This is such Promoting Health and Dignity Together: Consequently, this is to serve as a memorial of those who have lost their lives to AIDS and to support those living with HIV and affected by its impact. The said event was participated by the young leaders from Peer Facilitator’s Society of Mindanao Polytechnic College, Teen Support Group (TSG), RCR Foundation, Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP), Young Development Leaders per district in the city, SK kagawads of Barangay North and also the Kabataan Media Production (KMP). The AIDS Candlelight Memorial with the theme of “Promoting Health and Dignity Together”.

The event had been started by the warmth welcome from the host: Roge Mesicula and Mea Española. For the first part of the formal program Dra. Mely Lastimoso, Medical Health Officer V of City Health Office, and Social Hygiene Clinic Head of the city graced the invitation to talk about STI, HIV and AIDS. Dra. Lastimoso who explained  values, mission, goal, HIV related wdastigma and discrimination, solidarity with people living with HIV and core values of dignity, diversity, transparency, global solidarity, and professional and personal integrity.

Many Students were participated the said event and showed different talents such as acoustic/alternative-rock band, fire dancing, singing and etc.[read more]
